Posted on 16. Aug, 2008 by Lost in Featured Articles, Social Music Sites

Surely there are many missing. So please help build a complete and up to date list of social music sites, if you can. Drop a comment.

And some online music 2.1 suites.

    Good resource for artists.

To get exposure, you should be as many places out on the web as you can. With so many choices, artists should be sure to do the research, read the terms carefully and choose sites where your audience and potential fans are.

Great list, I hope it continues to grow and I encourage musicians to check out as many of them as possible.

Great list. Check out Unsung Hero at http://www.unsungherorevolution.com/ mainly independent artists and regional acts, but appears to have a strong following in the Northeastern part of the U.S.

    Hi,

My name is Sandi and I’m working in association with Thumbplay.com, a leading online platform of mobile entertainment content that offers ringtones, wallpapers, games and text-based services through a membership-based, community experience.

I feel the information on your site you provide is very useful. I would love to know if you could link to our ringtone resource.

    Best regards,
    Sandi

Great list! There have been several more that have popped-up most recently. One being, PLUGOLA ( http://www.plugo.la/ ), a social indie music community and marketplace.

This post appears to recieve a good ammount of visitors. How do you promote it? It offers a nice individual spin on things. I guess having something useful or substantial to post about is the most important thing.

I recommend http://www.Socialax.com completely free and growing. New site but even allows you to sell your products/music and they don’t charge you a dime.
